A traditional village farmhouse with thick stone walls, our chalet is situated in a quiet hamlet with spectacular views over the Aosta valley. It is a 15 minute drive to the centre of Pila, the closest ski station, alternatively the intermediary cable car station is 5 minutes away. The centre of Aosta (known as Rome of the north) is also a 15 minute drive down the valley and the village centre with two restaurants /bars and shop with fresh bread is five minutes by car.

LOCATION

Pila 2000 (1700ms to 2800ms) is a family friendly resort which is ideal for beginners, intermediates and is also popular with boarders.
It holds an excellent snow record and has all the facilities of a well equipped resort including a very good ski school, crèche and ski hire shop where you can leave your equipment at the end of each day and come and go in soft shoes.
Being only 10 minutes from the motorway the chalet is also ideally situated for skiers wishing to access several resorts. Courmayeur is 20 minutes drive away and La Thuile/ La Rosiere about 30 minutes away. Cervinia / Zermatt and the Monterosa Valley can be reached in under an hour. The famous off piste Valle Blanche excursion can be accessed via Courmayeur avoiding Chamonix`s notorious ice steps.
An upgrade on the local lift pass costs around 15 euros and this includes 2 days in different resorts.

Getting there -
Flying: To Turin (Ryanair, Easyjet or British Airways) An hour to the house
Driving: Aosta is an hour from the French border via the Mont Blanc tunnel, approximately 10 hours from the UK.

Non-skiers will also find plenty to keep them occupied in the historical town of Aosta and the surrounding area. Arts / cultural festivals and fetes are held in nearby villages throughout the year.

The Accommodation
Ground Floor Apartment:
Kitchen/dining area with fully fitted and equipped kitchen area with 4 hot plates, fridge, microwave, log burner. Long farmhouse dining table with seating for up to 12. Shower room with shower and w.c. Separate double bedroom + two extra fold up beds.

External stairs leading to first floor.
First floor:
Entrance leading to living room with 1 double sofa bed, (fully sprung), log burner and comfy seating area with fully fitted kitchenette. TV, DVD player and video player with video library.
Hall leading to:
Central bathroom with full size bath with jacuzzi shower attachment and w.c. Twin bedroom.
Spiral stairway from hall leading to:
Small, under- the- eaves bedroom with set of bunks and single child`s bed. Ensuite w.c, basin and bidet.

Gas central heating throughout.

There`s a garage to store ski equipment, parking for several cars and a sun terrace for warmer days. Bed linen is not included but can be hired from the key holder which includes beds being made up before arrival.

The apartments are available for rental separately from 300 GBP per week for smaller.
